Congrats. Hopefully you got an easy one to remember. At this point, it looks like the 24th, for meeting. I'm going to try and find a place to meet tomorrow, but if you know of a place, send me a PM. Have you figured out how to punch in repeaters, the tones, etc yet?Originally Posted by Singlestack
I think so; the Yahoo UV-5R group was very helpful and broke down what I needed to do. Manual repeater entry is a PITA on the UV-5R, but the CHIRP S/W seems easy enough to set up. Of course, I'm not quite sure what the best repeaters are - all I know is who operates them and where they are by city. I probably have about 50 entered of the 128 total slots available.

You can try the 146.970- repeater in the springs. It's on top of Pikes Peak I believe, and if it works, I can probably talk back to you from Denver. With enough power etc.
Singlestack, did it seriously take a week and a half to get your Call Letters? Most of this process is 'electronical' i would hate to be waiting for the License back when this was all a paper process.
