That is what is happening, and will happen, but only because voters are dumb.

Let me walk that statement back a bit. People are dumb, but they generally aren't THAT dumb. They have been put into a desperate position though.

Here is a Joe Rogan podcast with Peter Schiff, known as one of the only guys to have accurately predicted the 2006 housing collapse. It is relevant what TFOG hypothesized.

What if he is wagging the dog on stupid things to draw attention from important things while he sets em up (indictments, investigations, actual far-reaching policy moves, etc)?
(a la John Honeyman convincing the Hessians [those bastards] that Washington's forces were on the verge of mutiny in order to soften them up for the winter attack -- a thing generally unheard of in European warfare; if the Dems believe his administration is in chaos, and he foresees their [predictable] moves, he can feign and counter before they know what he has done)

What if, when doing that, he is simultaneously setting up ridiculous boundaries for upcoming negotiations in order to make his actual goal seem like he caved or did a lot of compromising?
(a la exactly what he says he does in his book on business methods The Art of the Deal)

Bill Hicks faked his own death in order to engage in the best performance art of all time: playing the part of Alex Jones.

If there's nothing wrong with having to show an ID to buy a gun, there's nothing wrong with having to show an ID to vote.

For legal reasons, that's a joke.

I listen to a lot of comedy and comedians. I hear stuff from Bill Hicks so often that I didn't realize he was dead.

Guess I should have included a spoiler alert.

Yeah, because the last time I drove my F250 V10 we had a thunderstorm.

Him, and I hear the late Mitch Hedberg quite often.
