    Default Carfax a vin#

    Anyone here have the ability to run a carfax for a vin by chance? I know it is a long shot but figured I would try.

    2007 Dodge Caliber? Meh. I wouldn't. But then I am not a fan of the Dodge or the Caliber.

    carfaux is a joke.
    my salvaged Blazer is proof.

    remember, it only reports to you what is reported to them.
    and nothing is reported to them doesn't mean it didn't take swimming lessons after being stolen and get a junkyard engine.

    Carfax came up clean on my F250. Found out LATER that it looks like it was repo'd and got a whole new paint job for some reason. I no longer trust Carfax.

    It's only good if the vehicle has any claims on it.It wont tell you much otherwise.
    Same thing with running the vin with the dealerships.Just tells you what waranty repairs and recalls have been done..

    My old Tacoma was wrecked a minimum of 3 times and nothing appeared on Carfax.
