40 years ago, I could buy a comic book for 15-25 cents and going to a movie was like $2-2.50. Of course, coach airfare to Hawaii was about $2000 but coach then was like domestic first class today ... maybe better ...

One could also smoke on the plane as well as carry a weapon. You could also call the airline monday morning and be in the air that evening w/out being told "Sorry you need at least 7-14 days notice to receive that fare"
