Okay, now I understand. That sounds reasonable. Is there an advantage to buying from APMEX's eBay store instead of from them directly? Better pricing?

Occasionally they have a daily special..for instance they had lots of 10- 2014 American Eagles for 224.99 free shipping and no tax...They don't have them all of the time but if you stay on the look-out you can find them. $266.40 if you ordered them today...and not sure if they charge shipping.

I think I've been in the shop you're talking about. In a little shopping plaza on the south side of Littleton Blvd? I've been treated well there, and IIRC there's a much better sales tax there than in any Denver shops.

Any local sources for silver maple leafs? I have a decent amount in eagles, and bars of varying weights can be gotten most places, but trying to find some more maples that aren't hit with too high of a dealer premium.

determining how to invest in precious metals is like anything else, very unpredictable. in the future they could be priceless or worthless, it depends. as has been said, the markets have been manipulated, and its pretty clear. additionally, its hard to predict how the government would treat gold or silver if the market truly sky rockets, as in, nearly all gold and silver are gone. its like investing in anything else, the big question is what will the government do about it? will they tax it? "reclaim" it like they did during the depression for peanuts?

We all need to keep reminding Americans that they're free, and the government cannot "reclaim" something that was not theirs to begin with...

Most of the country turned in their gold in 1933 (Executive Order 6102) and most will do it again if asked to. America 2014 is a lot less stand-for-what-you-believe than America 1933.

I disagree.. Today, most Americans are selfish and in it for themselves compare to 1933. The society is so fractured nowadays compare to back then. The word trust and govt were still in the same sentence back then.
