Economic collapse blog is just a fear-mongering Alex Jonesy blog. Fear gets you to click their link, which makes them money. I really don't think the whole blog exists to warn people of an economic collapse that may or may not be coming.


Aside from that, I do think that we have started a downward slide that is going to get significantly more pronounced and probably bring the DOW down below 10k. But I'm not a professional, so don't take any investing advice from me.

Specifically on topic, I stopped buying silver a while ago and have lost faith in it as an investment for anything but the end of the world... which I am not willing to bet thousands of dollars on happening in the next few years. I know there are a lot of scary indicators out there, but I don't yet think we're just going to fall apart suddenly - those in power would do anything to keep that from happening because they would lose the most. I have a few $k in silver and I'll just hold on to it until I need it or it's recovered from the $22/oz buy-in price.
