Of course I'm concerned about finding an entity who's trustworthy and doesn't charge some ridiculous premium for the service. I'd also want reasonably low minimum accumulation requirements for free shipping because I really don't want somebody else holding MY silver until I reach a bazillion dollars or whatever.

My concerns/goals are: (a) I'd like to automate the process because I know I'd be more likely to get it done, and (b) I feel like shipping adds considerable expense when we're talking about less than 100 ounces at a time.

Thanks in advance for any advice...

BTW: I've Googled this and it seems like everything I've found has some sort of catch. Once place buys and accumulates it on paper for a very small premium over spot price, but then charges you 10% to have your account converted to actual silver and shipped to you. Not a deal. Another place charges basically double the going rate over spot, but will ship it to you for free when you reach 100+ ounces. Their premium is so high, I'd be better off just buying from Provident or wherever and just paying the shipping charge.
Buy a monster box and just about any of them will ship free.

APMEX does this sort of - through a "Secure Storage" option. http://www.apmex.com/citadel However, I think their premiums are high. perhaps they cut deals on monthly purchases. Dunno really.

I'm just a noob, so there's probably better options than what I've found.

You can also fund a PM backed IRA, there's lots out there, but I don't qualify so haven't dug deep. For physical silver, my best deals so far have been with Provident Metals.

Dealers that offer free shipping have higher premiums, most any that have lower premiums ship free over $5k but don't let you combine shipping on orders.

Now someone else will come in and correct everything I said...
