Newbie, or Trading Post Troll
I've replaced the stock triggers on my Remington 700s with Shilens, http://www.brownells.com/rifle-parts...prod12531.aspx. I can get them down to under two pounds and still feel safe. At around a hundred bucks from Brownells it has been a good solution. On my benchrest rifles, I run Jewell triggers and we can get them down under 2 ounces. Great on the bench, but dangerous on a field gun. They usually scare the crap out of people the first time they try them but after a while you get used to sneaking up on them.
