I went through a layoff a couple weeks ago, so I'm looking for a new gig. I was just sent an opportunity by a headhunter: 12 month contract @ $100/hr ($208k/year). I'm well qualified for the position and I would keep my house in Aurora; either put it up for rent or the wife would just stay here and I'll fly home often.
The catch? It's in San Francisco.
Would you live in a studio apt in the center of hell for a year to make $208k?
I would hazard a bet that your studio apartment rent would be more...a lot more that your mortgage in aurora so that fat paycheck wouldn't look nearly so fat.
