Default US Marine Corps Memorial Ceremony

The US Marine Corps Memorial association will be affixing our nameplate to the kiosk at their memorial on Saturday, March 30th at 11am. The president of the association will conduct a brief ceremony, expressing his appreciation of the generosity of COAR-15. It would be great if we had a big turnout - please come if you can make it (the memorial is at the intersection of Colfax and Hwy 6 in Golden).

I looked it up on Googlemaps and it appears there's only a small parking lot for the memorial. I've not been up there before. Is there anywhere else that we can park, or might we consider a carpool up there?
I know there's a place across the street, but it appears to be a private property.

I'll be there. Parking may be an issue, so carpool is probably a good idea. From the Memorial website:

Please Note: Parking is no longer allowed along the 6th and Colfax sides of the Memorial. Please use the parking area off the access road between 6th and Colfax on the west side of the Memorial. ForCeremonies additional parking will be available on the Memorial grounds.

Maybe we can get some lunch afterward. We could meet at Bowers or some other place everyone is familiar with around 10am and load up.

Entrance to the memorial is off of Interplaza Dr & Colfax. There is plenty of parking in the shopping center to the south of the intersection, it is a short walk to the memorial. Leave the small parking lot at the memorial open for any disabled vets that may attend.

Looks like I missed some shenanigans, did the site contribute something to the memorial?

Awesome, thanks Fentonite. I'm almost positive I'll be able to make it. I'm penciling it on my calendar now.

Please come! They have invited all of us, whether you made a donation or not.

If parking is an issue, I imagine we could park at the Home Depot across the street, and shuttle over.
