308 mags in an older bushmaster

This rifle accepts FAL Metric mags.. What other mags fit in this rifle? I tried sending an email to whinham weaponry with no return on what other mags fit it. When you go to take a mag out you have to pull on it pretty hard.. might just need some gun smithing but figured I could always try other mags. Anyone know what other mags will fit this? The pmags do not fit it if that helps. Thanks

Have you tried the Armalite AR 10 magazines ?

Negative. Have one I can barrow? Before July 1st of course haha wow that makes me mad! But really I would rather try one before I bought one to try.. Mags aren't cheap these days :-(

If you buy one and it doesn't work, I will buy it from you for what you have in it. Before 7/01/13 of course.

Have to work Sunday.. Guessing those mags down grow on trees but ill look for one!

If we ever can get together I will let you try one of the Fal aluminum mags. Many of the steel mags have bulged a little over the years. The Alloy mags now command a premium over the steel. I bought them when they were cheap.

The best thing is they are 1/2 the weight of the steel mags.

The original Bushmaster accepts both inch and metric FAL mags. Your magazine may be a little fat, do you have access to another one?

Yeah I have a few mags.. I wonder if LAR-308 mags work?
