    Default Progress is being made

I joined just to say that this is not over, and it is NOT time to fold 'em.

Read over MarkCO's thread. We spent lots of time today at the capitol with very productive conversations. The committee hearings are important to getting things on the record. The fight will be on the floor of the senate. There is so much happening, and our friends in the legislature are working hard for us. Trust me when I say hope is not lost, and that things are being impacted down there.

Now is not the time the throw in the towel.

If you write, fax, email, etc you MUST be respectful, polite, calm, and civil. They are using the nasty emails as fuel to their fire. Once you cross the line, they shut off and your message is lost. Please don't vent and give them reasons to shut off what we have worked so hard to open.

    You should be writing to:

We'll see how productive they were after they vote.

    Sure.

Better to judge progress incrementally in the trenches rather than at the end of the push.

They have to vote yes to all the bans, how could they continue their political "careers" unless they kiss the ass of the libtard machine, they certainly can't do it by thinking for themselves.

This is the misconception that is causing lethargy on our side. Some of the items will pass, that is true. But there are some legislators that are not going to vote party line on all of the issues. There are a good amount that are squarely on the fence, and there is a bigger number that will vote for everything. We only need three, and that's attainable IMHO.

It's the fence sitters, the ones that are not comfy in their districts that CAN be moved on some of the issues. This is why the pressure being levied is critical. If it stops now, in the 4th quarter, they will move back over.

I am simply saying that we have all made progress, and to keep it up to the end of this ordeal. Stopping now is not the answer! If you can keep writing, keep going to town halls, keep faxing and sending good letters, we may win a few issues. A few issues, would be a solid win.

I hope so, Colorado is a great place to be. The "live and let live" attitude of its people is what draws many here. I'm pretty sure not many are giving up in this forum.

The absolute worst thing we could do now would be to let up on the pressure. I know we've all been doing this writing for a while now and it gets old. Just a few more weeks!

I absolutely agreed, i just sent off another round of calls and emails. There is no such thing as a waste of time when it comes to contacting your representatives.

I just emailed each of them, my fingers are crossed that they actually even read correspondence sent their way...
