Default Question about H&K P30 disassembly

My wife just purchased one of these as her first firearm. My question is for those who have/had this pistol, concerns the amount of pressure required to push the slide stop to the left in order to remove the slide. This pistol is almost identical in take down as my 1911's so I'm familiar with the procedure. It's just that the amount of effort needed to push it to the left was IMO excessive. Is this normal? Thanks for your reply.

The firearm is new? Perfectly normal if it is and it should loosen up with use. If not come and see me, we can tweak a couple of things.

fuggetaboutit. Shoot the gun, take it apart to clean it, clean it, put it back together. Repeat as often as you can afford. The HK P30 is the best polymer-framed pistol made today. Imho.

I had P30 once. Great firearm.
I don't even know why I traded it.

Brand new. I did manage to disassble it. Went back together and function tested just fine. Guess I'll put a couple hundred rounds through it(oops, wait, it's the wife's!) and see if it loosens up. Out of all the polymer framed pistols she looked at, minus the Kimber Custom Carry, she had to pick the most expensive one. She's got an eye for quality!

Curious to know if you looked at the Sig SP2022. I think it's a tremendous value polymer frame gun if you're going full size 9mm/40/357SIG.

My only complaint would be the outside of the very square edged trigger guard is a little rough on the middle finger during extended sessions.
