Whenever I get those emails I usually respond back with an agreement on selling something else that is obviously wrong. For example, they say "$500 Cash." and I respond with the assumption that they want to buy the broken deck chairs I had for sale for $15. Hilarity usually ensues. Of course, this hasn't happened to me on this board but it's somewhat common from Craigslist.

I like the fact that folks off "500 cash". Like I'd take a thousand dollar check from you, but now that its cash, come on over buddy. I've never thought to do a private party sale with a check. Now offering a business cash for a discount is entirely another thing. Then it makes sense to get a small discount.

This might just be me, but when someone sends me a PM with an offer that says nothing more than "500 cash" or something similar without so much as a name to go with it I really don't feel like responding. It seems to be happening more and more recently. If they can't take the time so send a decent message why should I take the time to respond?
Anyway just needed to rant a bit...

I've only had one member here offer to send me a personal check. I checked the feedback and decided that I would take the risk on my end. The other member went out of their way to make me feel comfortable. that really affirmed the way I expected the members here to act...
