    Default 2 Word Offers

This might just be me, but when someone sends me a PM with an offer that says nothing more than "500 cash" or something similar without so much as a name to go with it I really don't feel like responding. It seems to be happening more and more recently. If they can't take the time so send a decent message why should I take the time to respond?
Anyway just needed to rant a bit...

I can handle PMs from members like that more easily than I can a text from an anonymous person. I usually don't respond.

If they are a member HERE, with a post count and feedback, that is fine and I'm glad they're interested.

If, however, they are from armslist, and after googling their email handle and phone number I either come up with nothing or a Facebook page showing them acting like a dirtbag, then I don't even reply to them.

I always format my offers like a business letter with my own personal letterhead.

But yeah, if somebody sent me an offer like that I'd probably ignore them. Or ask them to be more specific. It seems like it would just be common courtesy to at least type a complete thought/sentence.

Girlscouts? Hmmm, I don't know... I think it's kinda dangerous to teach young girls self esteem and leadership skills.

    "Hi,
My name is XXX and I am willing to pay $XXX for your item. Feel free to to PM or call me at XXX-XXX-XXXX

    Thanks, XXX"

You mean something similar to above?

Above is a perfectly acceptable message. It's the ones that leave out everything except for "$XXX" that I feel don't warrant a response

How about "No Thanks" as your response

Depending on the circumstance I might not include a name until we meet...

but I would definitely do something more than 2 words.

I would reply back with Something like "GREAT! and to think I was only asking $100 for the USGI Mag... where can we meet?"

Sometimes you're trying to get the first PM in on a good deal. While I haven't done this, I can see a valid reason... More details would obviously follow in follow up correspondence.
