    not going with a shorter barrel for home defense?

    currently modifying my 870 too...not as much ammo capacity as you tho.

    I think you would see that differently if you try to employ the shotty in a hallway or multiple doorways.

    My 590 is 18 inches and I get annoyed with it in my house from time to time. Anything over 20" would absolutely drive me nuts when trying to move around the house.

    I have the 18.5" "tactical" version of that gun and its just about perfect for home defense. I picked up a longer 22" ventrib barrel for 3-gun but never even used it. it fits in the double case perfectly so it is right next to the AR when needed.
