It looks like SB197 (restricting firearms for domestic violence offenders) passed committee with a vote of 3-2. No surprise there. Next one up is magazine capacity.
I only glanced thru SB-197 the domestic violence bill ... how does this do any better then the fed law already in place ?
Right before they shut off the audio someone was getting rather pissed and the chair for not being able to speak.
The news is saying this in regards to SB 197 "Legislation that would force convicted felons and anyone subject to a restraining order to relinquish their guns to law enforcement is the first of seven Democratic gun control bills being heard Monday to get the go-ahead".
Can anyone clarify that? Subject to a restraining order? So if some crazy broad files a restraining order, you're effed?
