I feel for the speaker... but I would have to ask... how would background checks have saved her sister? Really!

Another person talking about a tragedy that would not have been prevented by a background check.
Her argument is the "burden" is all the emotions conjured by victims of gun violence. Her sister died at Sandy Hook. She's crying while she talks about how BGC will prevent guns from getting into the hands of people who will do harm and save lives.

All of you -- please analyze how they are all doing their arguments.
Hyperbole and emotion. They do not listen to logic.
For those of you that get up to testify today - Do NOT base your entire argument on logic, you MUST step outside your comfort zone and get them to respond at an EMOTIONAL level. Call them out.

What is my joy if all hands, even the unclean, can reach into it? What is my wisdom, if even the fools can dictate to me? What is my freedom, if all creatures, even the botched and impotent, are my masters? What is my life, if I am but to bow, to agree and to obey?

This guy says a majority of law enforcement supports this -- BULLSHIT.
These people will lie and stretch the truth. Do not be afraid to call them on it.
