She was shot in the face and almost died. I don't see her actions as trying to exploit what happened to her no more than I see people who survived a shooting by using a firearm of their own to defend themselves giving testimony as 'exploiting' anything. And I certainly wouldn't say she is playing a 'card'.
She was shot. She didn't like it, and she thinks that these measures will keep her and others from being shot again. While her position is misguided and flat out wrong, I don't think she is wrong for talking about it and voicing her opinion on the matter.
She is, however, 100% flat out wrong for being here in our state providing testimony that will influence OUR affairs and lives.
She needs to go home.
