You didn't read everything I said. A new governor, as well as majorities, or super majorities in both houses. While the republicans took over congress at the end of 1994, we still had Slick Willy in office. Any bill that would have thrown out the '94 Crime bill would have been met with a veto. They didn't have enough to secure that yet. We kick the pooper out of office and take over the legislature, we're dealing with a different game, completely, as long as the elected officials remember who got them there.
And Slick Willy was more of a pragmatist and less of an idealist. He was willing to compromise and give some in order to provide himself a legacy.
The current Democrats are not interested in true compromise. Their idea of compromise is for the opponents to concede to the Democrats demands.
And if we vote in all Repubs, and it's a total Repub majority they will not do a damn thing about repealing any of these, or any other B.S. unconstitutional laws. Give me one example where it has happened, I sure cannot remember any.
Repubs - Democraps = same animal, slightly different stripes.
