Colorado Democrats: Governmental Tyranny

I'm sad to say I lost a lot of faith in our system after all the e-mails sent and phone calls made and watching both the House and Senate proceedings.Minds and legislation were already made up and they just went through the motions to appear to be listening. Don't take this for waving a white flag, I'm far from being done and I know I'm not alone. Thanks to every one who went in person yesterday and let's not give up the good fight.

Not my native state. I came here to take part in something good. Seems many transplants came here to destroy it. I truly feel for the Colorado natives. It is a sad day indeed when a native Coloradan declares that Colorado is no longer his home. It's not over, yet. Hopefully we can all work to turn it around. If not today, maybe in 2014.

I watched this state's demise in the 1990s and 2000s...it is really sad.

Well that is nice. What he is saying is that there is no limit on the State via its founding document (US and State constitutions), so long as the majority want X.

We are suffering the "death of a thousand cuts", and every one of their so-called "common sense" actions and their unceasing calls for "compromise" is another cut. Progressivism is a disease. Unfortunately, that just isn't true. That's nothing more than a platitude.

For starters the democrat party hasn't made it a secret they're for more gun control. If someone voted democrat that wasn't a "mistake". It was a conscious choice to vote against gun rights. Now, regardless of the fact that "all of our voices (are) speaking for the same thing", it's obvious those democrats who were voted into office don't care what we're saying. At all. As much as I wanted to believe the speeches, emails, calls, faxes, letters and the tremendous outpouring of opposition to the democrat anti-gun bills would make a difference, their minds were made up. Period.

The Democrat party is being led by a person who was raised by both Marxist & Muslim families; how could a person make a mistake and vote for these people? After what happened in '94, there is no mistake in voting for a Democrat; they are gun grabbing sacks of shit that will destroy your freedoms as fast as they can. It does not matter whether one or two are any good or not; as a collective, this is what happens.

Only "the majority" of his campaign contributors. The majority of Coloradans . . . regardless of how they feel about gun ownership . . . are not in favor of passing new laws imprisoning their friends, family members, neighbors, and co-workers simply for continuing to exercise rights that were perfectly legal up til now. Once people are FULLY INFORMED about what these ill proposed laws entail (in the small print) and what the lasting implications are, they quickly realize it is a bad thing that will cause far more problems than it will solve. It will not prevent mass shootings or keep guns out of the hands of criminals . . . it will simply oppress gun owners with the threat of prison for failing to abide by the new rules.

Carl, first off, I concur 100%, well put! Second, you forgot to mention Rep. Fields... she is the queen of tyranical power in our state legislature. She is the one, for those that don't remember, that stated her sponsoring these bills was based on emotion. She joins a long list of "victims" of gun violence who have made it their crusade in life (no I didn't mince words) to ban guns, with the seedy likes of Brady, Giffords, and fellow grabbers. I don't care if you lost someone to gang bangers, you don't have the right to go after law abiding citizens who just wish to live their lives and practice the rights endowed by our creator (whoever you choose to believe that is) and protected from low-lifes like you government types by the US Constitution. ARG! These demonazis piss me off and they all need to be brought to justice!
