I really liked this. It's a 10 hour "docu-drama". Looks like 2 hrs. every Sunday until Easter (not an accident). The Bible

The cool thing for me was that it was seriously violent, like it really was back then. Folks didn't f*ck around back then - no ACLU and all of that shit.

The only negative was the giant skips in time. But hey, you only got 10 hours, minus commercials, to present the entire history of the world......I'll give them a little slack.

I hate to ruin the surprise ending, but I hear the main hero dies in the end...

All joking aside, I really thought this series was OUTSTANDING. I'll be buying the DVDs and look forward to the next series.

OK, joking again...it was great to see Obama again in several scenes of the final episode.

My family and I are really enjoying The Bible. It is giving us pause to get into more Bible reading to answer questions we come up with during the show. Anything to get us into the Word is good.

Was pretty good for just 10 hours from a non-religious broadcaster.

This. I'm not really religious but I enjoyed the series. Mostly because it wasn't meant as a conversion tool, it was just a series to show the stories contained in the book, and did it well for the time allotted.

My wife and I watched it and we liked it. Overall a good effort. I like pretty much all of the big religious films that came from Hollywood; Ben Hur, The Ten Commandments The Bible In The Beginning, The Greatest Story Ever Told, King of Kings, The Robe, The Last Temptation of Christ, The Passion of The Christ. They all have something to offer.
