    Default Snow?

I stopped over at WillysWagon's place to visit this evening (great visit!) and left about 9:45 to a hint of a drizzle in the air.

At 11:00 I look out the window & see 1/2" of snow on the ground. That's a lot of snow in that amount of time - especially for April 29th.

WTF? I heard nothing about snow in the Springs tonight. Geesh!

I heard about it on the radio this morning (as a possibility). But remember, this is CO. It can snow any day of the year - just doesn't usually stick around too long between May and September.

I just landed in it out at dia. started to actually hit the ground on the way home, nothing sticking and I doubt it will, still too warm. maybe some areas in higher elevations will get some but I don't think the front range will see much or anything.

In NW Missouri yesterday it was really cold for late April, wet and very windy it felt like late autumn. Made me think "gee I bet a snow isn't out of the question at this point"

I've been snowed on twice in Houston, TX and one time out in El Paso. Those were a bit surprising. But snow in Colorado Springs? Got to say I'm not terribly shocked.

I'm not shocked that it snowed this time of year here. Maybe I wasn't listening close enough to the weatherman but I hadn't heard anything about a chance of snow this week. Also, when it started coming down last night it REALLY started coming down.

I looked out the window (live right by the airport) at ~9:30 last night and it was coming down pretty thick.
