Last I heard is more are expected "soon". Of course soon has been a moving target that started in early June. I'm on one waiting list but was told that even when the place gets the next batch in there is a good chance I'm far enough down that I'll have to wait.

Personally I really want a Saiga 12 and would be willing to pay $500 or $600 for what is really at most a $300 shotgun, but the crazy auctions are going for $700-$800 for unconverted and more for converted ones.

Hmmm.......mine has been through 7 matches (so far) and has preformed flawlessly. Even tagged a third place once. Changing mags rather than shoving one round in at a time, does take some getting used to.

Alans saiga had a serious problem in the fact it would send shavings from the shot cup into the gas tube. The thing would only run 4 or 5 mags then stop. Take it apart and remove the compacted disc made up of shot cup particals and it would run for 4 or 5 mags again. Once the material from the shot cup became thick enough it would not allow the gun to lock into battery and it would not run.

Others I have talked to that own them say they have no problems so I don't know. Alans was F/A so maybe they are ok in semi.

Thanks for an explanation Hunter, I will watch for that. I am thinking about shooting it until something happens, then clean it and find out what caused it.
