Default Sig Guys. I need your help

Need some help with my Sig. It is a P239 9mm. two tone. Does that make the slide SS. On the end of the box it has 239-9-TSS. I think the TSS means it is the snag free model. It also has T-Tone, SLITE, DA/SA. What is SLITE short for? It was made July 3, 2008 so what generation would it be? It has had an SRT trigger installed and some amazing night sites. The sites are factory. I can't believe I have never owned one of these. It is the most perfect (for me) carry gun I have ever owned. I haven't had it very long. I got it from a member here on the forum. Hope someone here can fill me in on the questions. Oh and if you get a chance to fire one of these 239's I think you will be as surprised as I was.

SLITE is SIG's name for their night sights.

I believe all SIG's are stainless steel and the black color is their finish applied over the stainless. With use over time it does wear but can be refinished.

I have been carrying a P229 for more than a decade. It has never given me a reason be concerned.

SIG's are a bit pricey, especially for magazines. Their customer service has been spotty at times, but I've had no bad experiences with them personally.

    Cstone got it...
I love Sig's just hate the OTD Price and Mags prices. Good looking 239, my wife carries a p238 and a p938 and both are sweet shooters and easy to make an EDC.

I own several Sigs and carry a P229 for duty. I own a P239 and I like it just as much. I am eagerly waiting for the P224 to be available to paw all over.

P228 here, no concerns, always goes bang, daily ccw. Customer service has been good, but it was years ago when I delt with them.

I'm confident that if you contact Sig with your S/N, they'll be able to tell you exactly what you have.
    Longbaugh: Who are you?
Sarno: I'm the guy you might meet one night. When you wake up with a pillow over your head. And the only thing you'll hear is a little pop.

Yep, SLITE means it came with night sights from the factory. SIG calls em their "SIGLite" sights. Pretty sure they source those from Meprolight. From the pic, it doesn't seem to have the SAS, or "SIG Anti-Snag" treatment. Not sure if it's a gen 1 or 2, but SIG can clarify that for you. I've owned three SIGs, and love em. Take care of yours, and it'll serve you well.
