Haha wow, this does not surprise me one bit. We should probably start referring to her as Rhonda "thug life" Fields. Funny a criminal is trying to control people with no criminal records.

Funny, ain't it? She can have a criminal record and write the laws but it's doubtful a person could get hired as a police officer with that record to enforce the laws written by the criminal.

ALL public officials should be required to pass a background check AND be subject to random drug tests . . . otherwise, what is the point of background checks and drug tests? Everyone from Wal*Mart to RTD is subject to mandatory testing, so why should those elected officials empowered and entrusted to change the law of the land be treated any different? After all, they are allegedly "public servants" who work for the people, right?

You can run for office even with felony convictions - though you won't be able to vote for yourself, then. I think it's been made illegal to run for office while actually serving time, though.

As much as I dislike this person, these are arrests and not convictions. Charges could have been dismissed or dropped to a lesser charge.

I have had friends, who had arrest records, brought up by the media for public ridicule. All the charges had been dropped but still remained as an arrest record.

The fact that there is no conviction just means it was plead down. She got arrested for shoplifting- she certainly did the deed.
