Default Friday March 8th, this is it!

This it folks! We need as many people at the Capitol as possible.

Please read this important message from Senate Republican Leader Bill L. Cadman about the gun control measures at the State Capitol.

    Dear Coloradan,

Thank you for signing the petition opposing the Democrats’ gun control package currently being debated in the Colorado General Assembly. On Monday, hundreds of Coloradans showed up to testify against these extreme measures.

While they passed committee on a party-line vote, the battle isn’t over. These bills will be debated in the Senate, this Friday, March 8th, and the vote is going to be close. This is why we need you to act immediately!

Please take a moment and contact these members and respectfully ask them to vote NO on the proposed gun control package.

    I understand it as:

First reading is in committee, second reading is to the Committee of the Whole (called the COW a lot) with much debate and a voice vote, and the third reading with a roll call vote and less debate.

The voice vote is "judged" by the presiding member with the gavel, and it moves on. I have been told that in some cases, they can request the second reading be a roll call vote too. Not too sure about that. If the dems judge the voice vote, I would expect it to pass the second reading. The real number comes out on the roll call, third reading vote.

I'f my understanding is incorrect, please let me know.
