How do bullpup stocks work?

Dumb question but I am looking at M14 bullpup stocks and I am stumped. Could it work out a semi auto tube fed shotgun?

The hardest part of a bullpup gun is the trigger. Your trigger finger ends up a foot away from the action. The linkage from the trigger in front usually screws up any decent trigger feel.

Mossberg made a bullpup version of the 500. It looks to me it would be fairly simple to make a bullpup version of a tube magazine semiauto shotgun. I think it would be easier to convert or make a semi than a pump. I believe there may be some already in production.

Oh look, something Shiny! Dang you, I have too many other projects I haven't finished! Now I have something else I want to make. So what do I have in the way of semi-auto shotguns that I can sacrifice to the god of bullpups?

Sorry I ain't much help. Yeah, it can be done. It's just how nice you want it to look and if you can get the trigger to come out ok.
