I'm looking forward tot he day I can do this with my son. Some of my best memories were doing the exact same thing with my dad.

Is that the Daisy Legacy ? Has the adjustable butt pad pull out ? If it is that's my son's first .22 rifle. Lord that was 20 years ago.

It is indeed a Daisy legacy with the pull out butt pad.

Nice work! I love seeing dads teaching their kids about firearms.

It was easy for him to manipulate the slide and seat the magazine when I would hold it for him. Really great time. Thank all of you for the kudos. This little guy and I have an amazing bond and honestly wish I could've been a better father to my older son when he was this age but after his mother and I split, being a part-time dad was a real bitch. I feel like I got a 2nd chance at being a better father and I'm doing everything I can to give both my sons a great childhood. In fact, last summer I took my oldest (whose 15 now) out to Bob's range where he shot my .223 AR, 9mm AR and Kimber .45. He really had a great time and we are making plans to do it again when we can get more bullets loaded.
Err ruger makes Mark I/II/III, browning makes Buckmarks. I think it's the Buckmark, though!
