This is it, tomorrow some very serious votes will occur that will determine all of our futures. Please write your senators tonight and make it very clear to vote NO on any legislation.

I know this topic has been ridden like a rented mule but now is the time. If you delay it is likely that your rights will be infringed and we will be left to cry. Now Now Now!!!!! From why I hear we only need one D on our side to win this thing. Plus we may keep Magpul in the state.

Mods, I know this is in the wrong section but I ask that we keep it in the GD until after tomorrow senate vote. Thanks a lot for what you do.

I've been sending one every day. Already sent one earlier and I'll probably send one more tonight. It is likely falling on deaf ears... but I have to try. It only takes just a minute or two out of my day so I would be crazy not to!

Done. However, I won't be cry, cry, crying after it inevitably passes. I will simply pay it the same credence and respect that I hold for the elected officials which championed it. And continue to pursue/prepare to defend my life, liberty, and happiness as I see fit and was granted me by the men who shed their blood in the genesis of this country.

Here is a copy of the letter I just sent to the proponents of the bills:

"As a law-abiding, tax paying, voting citizen I have some questions for you. Why do you hate us? We, the law-abiding firearm owning community...why do you hate us so much? I work 40+ hours a week providing for my family trying to give them everything I can and more. I don't break laws, I don't wish to harm my fellow man and I don't condone the criminal misuse of firearms. I value your right to the Constitution and all the great freedoms it affords you, regardless of whether we disagree. Those are the rights afforded to you and I respect that. Why do you not treat me with the same respect?


Why do you despise the 2nd Amendment so much? Why is it so important for you to fight so hard to erode away my Constitutional right to keep & bear arms? I served my country as a warrior of this nation in time of combat and I served my community as a law enforcement officer as well. I've proudly given to a country and only asked for my freedoms in return. What did those like me ever do to you other than offer up a blank check to the United States of America for the amount up to including my life to defend your freedoms?


We all know that criminals do not follow laws. These bills only target the law-abiding. However; I'm afraid these words are fruitless to you and falling on nothing more than deaf ears. You will push your agenda to further eliminate my rights and those rights of my children because in the end...it will make you feel better knowing you devastated a group of people you seem to despise so much."

Not sure it will matter at this point, but it cost me nothing to send it so what the hell.
