If it were that easy NY and CA wouldn't be in the boat they're in. We want these bills as unenforceable as possible if (and in this case, when) they pass. Hoping they're all air-tight with the thought that they will be fought in the SCOTUS isn't the best plan of attack here.

As a current CA resident, I will say that we can currently import magazine parts to rebuild the STANDARD capacity magazines we currently own. Now, as we know, most magazines do not have a date stamp.
Also, the 1224 bill is unenforceable. How will a LEO know whether I purchased a magazine on July 1 or on June 31? I am moving on CO on March 22 and I plan to get as many standard capacity magazines I can for my current handgun, my future AR builds, and also for future firearms I intend to purchase.
Edit: To add, a rebuild kit is as simple as a disassembled magazine.

blah, unless you are planning to comply all the way down to making your AR a single shot like some in NY are, who cares.
Lundberg pointing out that the ban would ban virtually all magazines as they can be converted to accept more than 15 rounds.
Yay! Someone actually got "standard capcity" correct!
