After 7/1 you can't buy any magazine that accepts an extension that brings the capacity past 15 rounds.

And this is virtually all pistol mags with a removable base plate, right?

He's arguing that some mags can be readily converted to "high capacity" and thus will be banned.

Girlscouts? Hmmm, I don't know... I think it's kinda dangerous to teach young girls self esteem and leadership skills.

Lundberg brought up that the magazine capacity bullshit "effectively" bans ALL mags because all mags have removable base plates. Removable base plates would easily allow mags to be expanded either via currently available mag parts or 3-d printer parts. He then pointed out this shit is going to be the eventual banning of all guns.
I will not abide this abomination. (1224)

The readily modified clause in the bill opens it up to all magazines that can at all be taken apart, so basically any magazine that can have the floor plate removed and extended in any way is banned. ie any magazine that's not welded shut, or has physical block in the body, cannot be sold, transferred, etc.

It's not, it's been mentioned throughout the process, the media just isn't telling anyone.
