Will any of these proposed laws matter when the inevitable collapse of the economic system comes?

Wellll - in full consideration of the abrupt thread drift involved in a response, I'd suggest that the laws could be very important if/when the economic system collapses. In that eventuality, having maximum firepower could easily mean the difference between life and death for self and/or family. Further, such an economic collapse is almost certain to NOT result in overwhelming social chaos overnight. Even a worst case collapse is likely to occur over some period of time - weeks, months, or longer. During that period, some amount of law enforcement will continue, and that enforcement could easily result in loss of important firepower when the full weight of the collapse occurs.

Of course this is all entirely hypothetical and subject to incessant debate/argument in other threads or on other fora.

I'll continue to try to persuade the Senators to see reason. Emails, snail mail, and faxes sent today. I suspect that we may see the mag ban shot down if anyone has any sense AND the balls to defy the DNC.

I'd really like to see that. We'll find out soon enough.

I'm a little confused on the live broadcast today. Are the bills back in the House due to amendments or are they still in the Senate ?

Liberals never met a slippery slope they didn't grease.
