They need both HB 13-1228 and HB 13-1229 to pass. The financial notes of HB 13-1228 already include how the budget that supports the portion of CBI that handles BGCs is to be taken out of the CBI budget and used somewhere else, in an obvious TABOR bypass. They can't afford to not have both bills, as they need the BGC revenue stream to make up for the budget divergence.

According to this bill, you can loan a gun to a friend "while hunting". How is that defined? When they leave your house to go to the GMU where they intend to hunt? In the field, if they immediately upon taking possession move on the stalk? It's not legal to hunt while on a road or highway, and since the loan is only valid where hunting is allowed, transport in a car or truck is a class 1 misdemeanor.

Totally unenforceable. How would anyone know it isn't your gun unless there is a registration database?

You guys are all forgetting about the post-facto charges.. They are trying to put something else on you, they interview your neighbor and he says that you loaned him a gun once, they throw that on in an effort to get you to plea...

Make LOTS of laws, make everyone a criminal, then the DA can just choose what to charge you with.

Good points Rucker , Just because a rifle is sighted in for one person the others persons zero can be very different. The process of zeroing and preparing properly for a hunt exceeds 72 hours. Hell it takes some time to get range time and to travel. Either way lame bill, not enforceable unless they use as something to stack something on to you.

Default SENATE'S GUN CONTROL READING * LIVE

What I don't understand is all the talk. Falling on deaf ears. We have already written tons of emails, etc to senators in protest.

How is that these ditzes get elected?
