I am moving on CO on March 22 and I plan to get as many standard capacity magazines I can for my current handgun, my future AR builds, and also for future firearms I intend to purchase.

Edit: To add, a rebuild kit is as simple as a disassembled magazine.
Denver is going to grab all 15+ mags charge you and make you sue to get them back, just watch. For a the burden to be on a prosecutor, there has to be something in evidence and charges pending or contemplated. All that means is that there is something in evidence locker.

The question for me is if you are a Denver resident and the DPD finds you with 15+ round mags, can they just based on that get a search warrant for your car and house to hunt for potentially illegal mags???
I'll stop buying black rifles when my wife stops buying black shoes.

My county for example has the highest number of CCW's in CA. However, get caught with a CCW in LA and you are in for a world of hurt regardless. They don't get it.

On the first paragraph, a lot of PD's here in CA do the same. Fortunately, many PD's are educated enough to understand. Don't get caught with a magazine specifically for a gun that is obviously a new model, which in my case is a Sig SP2022.

The second paragraph, if they can do an illegal search and seizure based on just owning magazines with an unknown purchase date, there will be some cases going to the Supreme Court. I'm hoping any bills that pass go to that route and get overturned.
