He is right. Unfortunately, unless we get Rs in all branches, any legislation to overturn is doomed without a supermajority. Voter amendment is slightly more likely to succeed, but has to written very carefully. Recalls after the fact are

To question your government is not unpatriotic — to not question your government is unpatriotic.

Good people do not need laws to tell them to act responsibly, while bad people will find a way around the laws.

I wouldn't contact Jahn except to say thank you for her votes.
I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them.

I would guess that if this passes, many gun owners, no matter their politics, will leave the state by then, which plays into the agenda; fewer people who oppose you, more who support you.
People will think "OK maybe a 10 rd mag isn't so bad", and they get used to it..sucks some of the will out of the fight. Other problems replace gun issues, so laws remain in place for another decade
or so, or till the next shooting. Then another wave of legislation will magically and quickly appear "We have to do more to protect the children!"

    Lather, rinse, repeat

Exactly what I've been thinking this entire time. It all just feels like a waste.

They will do what NY did. Lower the number, only grandfathter ones at the old level, and outright ban all above the old level...
So your mags over 15 would be banned and you could only load your 15 rounders to the new limit...

I hope everyone stays until 2014. I believe we can take a lot of them out of office. However I will cruise if it looks bleak. My kids won't be raised in a cesspool.
