Hatidua. Some of the comments by Jer and others, IMO, are the exact definition of defeatist attitude. Saying something is over before all options are exhausted. I don't blame him or the others for feeling this way and in Jer's (and others) case his/their "defeatist comments", to this point, don't jive with their actions. They are still fighting while claiming it's over and a waste of time There are many of us here willing to carry on the fight, to it's conclusion, without the discouraging comments basically telling us we're wasting our time and it cannot be stopped.

And by the way, I also feel this current battle is lost and a "waste" of time but the war is far from over.

I've written politicians many hundreds, if not thousands of times in the past eight weeks (I think my past posts urging others to write likely bordered on annoying). Phone calls to our legislators? - more than I can remotely recall! Donated more money to organizations fighting this than I could rightfully afford. Have offered to take anti's to the range, etc. At the same time, I'm not oblivious to what is going on in society.

Do I want my rights taken away? -obviously not. Do I see where things are headed? -sadly, yes.

I'm neither tossing in the towel nor moving. I'm just living in a state in which many hold one of my hobbies to be a blight on society.
