This is awesome! This is exactly what I was hoping would happen. I am going to free up some cash to don't to them.

Actually 68', it's called the Basic Freedom Defense Fund (bfdf.org). This link currently redirects to "Colorado Accountability" but due to possible name (and goals) confusion, they are changing the name, so everyone try and forget "Colorado Accountability" and remember "Basic Freedom Defense Fund". The fact that they were able to get such a short URL is awesome!

I was there, but because of the late notice GF and I arrived a little late and had to leave early (68', that might ID me for you, you and your Hawaiian shirt I remember ), but not until I made sure the CS organizer had my contact information.

The folks from the Durango area were great. Many in the room were a bit slow on the realization that the Durango folks were here to start us, not drive us. Once we split up into the Pueblo and CS groups, things began to happen.

Correct me if I'm wrong 68, but basically the Durango folks have created a non-profit bi-partisan origination that can receive monies and direct it to sub-organizations that are targeting specific politicians that are violating their oath of office (note: not specifically dems or 'pubs, therefore bipartisan). Because these sub-organizations are formed UNDER the aegis of BFDF, they can be quite agile since they can spring into existence very quickly.

An extremely important point that was brought up (though I'll skip the details): If we move very quickly to gather the required number of signatures, the recall election could possibly happen while the starry-eyed CC students are on summer vacation.

More details as they become available.

FYI, Here's a map of the Senate districts: http://www.coloradogopwomen.org/maps...nate-districts

You really have to zoom in on CS to see district 11. If you're within this district, stay tuned as to where you can sign the petition.

This is great news. Sounds like a lot of thought was given to putting together an organization that can be the most effective and as you say, agile. I'm represented by Ted Harvey & Frank McNulty, so it will help us all to have a centralized command center to apply the pressure where it's needed. I'll have to read up on this new organization.

Colorado is ground zero for the areas between the Mississippi and California. The anti-2As and Bloomberg's $$$$ have decided this will be the battleground.

I was there but had to leave early as I had to be into work by 6 the next morning.
The guys from Durango have done a great job. When I got home, I looked up the senate districts (also see above) and didn't even realize I'm not in his district. I still plan on helping/being a foot solider where I can (especially if I'm furloughed one day a week).
Also donate to help out with legal fees!
