Sheriff's being threatened

BREAKING NEWS Via Don Dobyns:
On 740 AM KVOR radio this morning Sheriff Terry Maketa stated this morning in short form that the sheriffs of Colorado are being threatened, extorted and blackmailed for speaking up for our 2nd amendment rights. These threats are being initiated by the democratic party and possibly all the way to the top of the party from Senators.
This opens the door for both state and federal investigation for possible charges.

Contact your local sheriff and encourage them to file a formal complaint, if they themselves have been threatened.

Weld Cty. sheriff and DA have no issues handling these problems them self. Just wait until election time for the sheriffs, EVERY dirty trick, slander, innuendos no matter how false will be used to get them UN elected.

First off I would like to say that I truly appreciate all you and your fellow Colorado Sheriff's have been doing to stand up for the Rights of our citizens. I recognize that I'm biased, but I believe that El Paso County has the best sheriff in the nation.


I've heard from the radio that you and other CO sheriff's are receiving threats. While I'm certain you have no serious concerns in this matter, I wanted you to know that there are many who are here to offer you and your office any support you require should you want and need it. I'm not referring to any sort of armed vigilante's, as we are law-abiding citizens. That said, if you put out the word, the citizens of this county will be there for you as you have been there for us.


Thank you for all you do to keep us safe and to protect our liberties.

I'm surprised it took so long. But, to be fair, I'd like to see some sort of statement on this other than a post on a gun forum. Anybody have any further info? I can't seem to find anything.

I am still trying to verify also but thought I'd put it out to try and get help verifying. I did find this (highlighted portion) but is more than likely "old". (still a good read)
