Default Senator Kefalas Fort Collins Is not a lost cause

Gentlemen, I had a chance to talk with Senator Kefalas today after a town hall meeting. I believe that with respectful emails and phone calls he can be swayed. Stick to talking about the mental health issues and the fact that these bills only hurt law abiding citizens and the economy of Colorado.

I called and spoke to him this afternoon, bringing up the extension thing and whatnot. He said he'd bring it up the question on Monday. Overall didn't really get a warm and fuzzy that he'd vote against this bill.

Can't give up, I sent emails to a number of senators. Might as well send him one as well. Keep fighting the good fight fellow citizens!

Did you or anyone else ask him why he was concerned because it may have an impact on gay's? Or as i posted in another thread would he not be concerned if it only effected hetro gun owners.

jim, I didn't bring up gay gun owners in my email to him. However I did tell him that ethnic minority gun owners would also be affected by this. I have told other senators that the 2nd Amendment also protects gay and transgendered people from hate crimes.

Yes, he had some real honest questions about the magazines. He talked about Magpul's demonstration with the 10 round magazine and the extension. He said he asked his people if it were true and didn't get a straight answer. Said he was going to get further details. If we give up then we are for sure lost.

I spoke to him as well. Nice guy and he's feeling the heat.
