Worst part of your job?
Working in a place I can't be armed. (DIA) whiny aircraft mechanics and the pilots we try to keep safe. Dealing with a loser .gov agency day in and day out. (FAA)
Everyone saying "We're going to lunch, you can work on it now..." Gee thanks.
Once I told a pretty important person "Sorry, I can't do that, I'm going to lunch too." Got some High Fives from other chiefs.
Shift work, that's it.

At the moment, NOT having a job.
When I did have one, I hated working for corporate-ladder climbing assholes whose only concern was advancing their own careers with the sweat and blood of their underlings. Whip-cracking number-watchers to whom "metrics" were most important, and kissing the asses of those above them. All trying to get another rung up that ladder before the next guy, reaching for that gold ring, while jumping up and down on the heads of the poor slobs actually doing the work.
And not a damn one of our "leaders" were actually capable of doing anything that they were constantly flogging the grunts to do faster and more of. They were like military officers that had no clue which end of a gun the bullets come out of, yet they still salivated over the higher ranks, higher pay, and fancier uniforms. All about power and prestige, and having a photo on their mantle of themselves posing with God Himself, the CEO.
Cocksuckers. I worked in telecom for 26 years, and I'm not even sure I'd want to go back into it. I just want a job where I do the missions given to me and go home.
