I set up a pump 30-06 for my hunt... would like to switch to a 30 caliber AR platform. weight savings, semi auto and infinite choices of optics.

I use a 16" LaRue PredatAR in .308 with a Leupold 3.5-10x on top. I'm thinking that I might change it for a moderate 1-4x though.

I am running a 1-4x burris on mine. i like the zoom, but hate how huge the reticle is.
