Nope, I'd be vehemently against it. And would do everything in my power to stop them from doing it, within the sphere of my parental influence. But I damn sure wouldn't try to legislate against it. That's where people like the venereal (er venerable) Ms Fields and I differ. Problems with judgement need to be dealt with on an individual basis, not a sweeping legislative one.
There's a huge difference between being a Libertarian and being a Libertine. There are plenty of things I find offensive, immoral, unwise etc. So I choose to not partake in them, and will do everything I can to ensure my kids don't either. Not gonna try to get a law passed to impose my views on everybody else.
S'ok. I think it's a common misconception that Libertarians believe anything and everything is good. The whole "if it feels good, do it" mentality. That's way off - we just believe in the right for people to decide that for themselves.
But Dingo- think about the money... It's pretty much the only industry (besides that of stripping) where women make 400% MORE than men... Your daughter could put herself through college...![]()
