Default What to do... One in the family!?

So just got word that my Gen3 PMAGs arrived today... then had a heated argument with my little brother about the situation... He ordered his mags, then stated he just ordered some more and intends to sell them online for double... "If I sell 5 they'll pay for the entire 10 I just bought." I called him out on it, even said it's a douchey thing to do. He fails to realize that price gouging is a very bad thing- Magpul even stated that they don't approve of inflating the price, and if he had any shred of human decency he'd see that this is the reason shit is so fucked up right now. I have no time for these asshats taking advantage of the panic and gouging and inflating their prices "just because people will pay them." He even got pissed that I used concert tickets as an analogy (buy 10 tickets at $50 ea, then turn around and sell them for $90 ea- it happens all the time). He said "this is different." Then gets all pissed off at me and when I call him a fuckwad for even proposing such a dick move. How do you dissuade this behavior? I can't get through to the boy.

I had a friend say something similar, he was saying he was thinking about ordering some and selling them at a profit since he never plans on buying an AR. I convinced him that the market wasn't there for $40 pmags now that anyone can get them for MSRP, and that seemed to convince him to drop it.

Slight correction, unless Magpul has changed their program.
I thought it was just offered to anyone in Colorado.

I'm not supporting this, but it would seem that since Coloradoans can get them at MSRP, they could make a profit selling outside of Colorado, say on GB or Ebay.
But as far as inside Colorado, you are correct. Any Coloradoan can get a limited supply at MSRP.

I think Magpul is doing an awfully nice thing for Colorado.
It would only take one "bad" example to ruin it for everyone that wants to play fair and honor their good intentions.
I believe the intent was :
    1) Let Coloradoans get PMAGs and
    2) Sort of give state legislature the "bird" on their way out of Colorado

Your brother is free to do as he please no matter the moral right or wrong. Its a free country and people are free to be jerks by other peoples definition. How ever you could point out that the pending mag ban would make it illegal to sell his mags so it might not be the money making opportunity that he hopes. I pray that Hick will veto this crap.

I've weighed in on this issue before and think its shitty to gouge in this particular situation, but especially shitty when Magpul is going out of their way to ensure that the mags get into the hands of those who need them.

his mags, his choice. However i am sure we will see them pop up here sooner or later. Myself I purchased 15 of them for a reason, resale is not one of them.
