When I shot IDPA, I wore a Sweatshirt or a Windshirt, which is what I actually wear on an almost daily basis in the winter. You can find inexpensive, loose fitting short sleeved warm up covers with back and underarm vents (baseball) at the used sports stores for like $10.

If you have not shot out at CRC when the wind blows, you might want to toss a gun cover and sand goggles in your range bag. They became permanent additions to mine after my first sandstorm out there.

I've been shooting at CRC for four or five years now so I am well aware of the potential for wind and dust.

As far as cover garments, maybe for this coming event I'll toss on a large, button down denim shirt and wear it unbuttoned like a jacket. Seems the trap vest I intended on using probably isn't going to work out very well.

I always just leave my shirt untucked.

That's kind of how I roll on a daily basis.

Sometimes it's nice to be blue collar.

Got my pistol all tuned up and ready to go. Need to go through my range bag and make sure the holster is in there somewhere. Trying to decide if I want to hunt for my mag carriers or just buy new ones.

Yeah if forecast stays the same, we may cancel again, 20 mph winds forecasted so far, and even though I love shooting, that is no fun.

I might just look a bit silly since most of you probably wear some sort of "photographer's vest" of some sort.

I run a cheesy fishing vest....and I wear plaid pants, so bring what works heh

I forgot to mention that I run out of an in the waist band holster, so my untucked shirt method is likely not as effectice for owb holster users.

    Hey all,

It's that time again for ECOIDPA at CRC, unfortunately its also taht time again for weather to be uncooperative. Forecast is saying 48 degrees, but with 25mph winds, which for a match is no good.

Going to wait to check forecast Friday and will make the call on the match then. Stay tuned, and we'll let you know ASAP.

    Thanks

    Kris
