There are some officers that are serious about shooting who I've seen show up and kick ass. I personally think every LEO should occasionally compete, time allowing.
The Air Force shooting team showed up to shoot a few matches ago. A few of them did very well.

Fun group in Squad 1. Shot my best score by 7 seconds, but didn't get the class bump it would have earned me last year. Dang new rulebook.

Fun day, unfortunately I shot my worst match EVER. I dont know what was wrong with me today. I did shoot a different gun that I am used to, but I can not blame my bad shooting on that, I'll just blame it on J instead

Either way that was a horrible day of shooting for me. Worst score ever for me. Oh well I still had a lot of fun.

It is a good thing when the consolation is a good time(but it still sucks when performance doesn't meet ability).
Just wish I could dedicate more time to training/practice.

I improved over last year but not as well as I expected.
Even when shot well the classifier points out the drills I need to be practicing.
