I think we should have started that stage while holding a 40. And, I'm not talking about a Glock 22...
I hate it when I'm excited about having a fast day, only to find that everyone else had a fast day as well and I'm in my usual spot. I got fourth over all on Stage 3, but the margins on that stage were so close it didn't really help me get ahead.
I like that a lot of the shooters are right around my skill level.
Edit: Near last place on stage 2 really hurt me.

"There are no finger prints under water."
Glad you guys had fun, although not as practical as usual, it was fun!
Just a reminder that this month's match is canceled due to state match in Montrose.
We are a go for the 28th this month. State was great and I was glad to see some of our ECO shooters out there! We will be running by the old rules this month, please keep in mind that the new rules take affect on the 1rst of Oct, so next months match will be conducted using the new rules. All our SO's are certified on the new rules and ready to go. Please take some time to read and become familiar with them before 26th of Oct.
Aaaand for those of you that don't want to look for the new rules......here you are http://members.idpa.com/Content/Rules/g0hunysc.eoc.pdf
The weather is looking up for tomorrow's match at CRC, we just have to get thought this evenings rain. Should be clear and sunny with a high of 66 but plan for a cold start for setup. If anything should change I'll update you all here, but we should be good.
First I would like to thank J for the stage designs for the match tomorrow as well as Scott LaPaglia for his continued support with the new shooter orientation. As Kris had mentioned earlier, he and several of the other regulars will be out of town at the Utah State IDPA Match so I'll be standing in as match director. Please excuse my lack of participation over the first few months of Eastern Colorado IDPA's existence, I had intended to be much more active but medical issues had sidelined me. I'm looking forward to assisting with more matches from here on out. In order to help me out I'd like to ask one thing of the SOs and go over a couple items.
- Since I don't know who all the SO's are I'd like to ask that all SO's that have been running squads or are comfortable being the primary SO please write a big "SO+" at the top of your score sheet when you hand it in. If you're an SO that would not like to be the primary SO on a squad please write a big "SO-" so I can pair you up with another SO to run the squad together.
- If you're attending your first IDPA match, the new shooter meeting will start at9am and is mandatory. Please remember that CRC runs a cold range so no loaded firearms unless it's done at the direction of an SO.
- Shooters meeting will start at 9:30am and will include a complete walk through all 5 stages with Justin providing the stage description so everyone hears the plan directly from the stage designer. As soon as we're done with the walk though we'll break into squads and get down to business at or before 10am as soon as the walk though is done. Please plan to arrive and be registered about 9amunless you're a new shooter and you should be registered by 8:30am
- If you are shooting with others that would like to be in a squad together, please hang onto all your score sheets until your complete party is onsite and then register together and turn all score sheets in together with one of the corners dogeared so I can keep them together.
More details and directions to CRC can be found at the Eastern Colorado IDPA website: http://ecoidpa.com
We plan to have the gate open and starting setup by 7:30am. Hope to see you all out there!
Thanks,
Jason
