Depends on the match. And how much you miss. If you hit satisfactory (to you) with every shot the minimum round count is all you will need. If you miss some, you can choose to take the miss or re-engage the target on most stages.

Minimum round count is usually around 80-90 or so. Maybe 100 on a really high round match, but that is quite rare. I think we've had a couple matches with minimum round count down near 70 too. The max you can shoot on most normal matches (assuming not shooting 1911 or revolver) is 31 rounds per stage and 5 stages. So 155 rounds MAX for a normal match. Revolvers and 1911s have a max even lower. Every once in a blue moon there might be an issue that makes you re-shoot a stage, so add another possible 31 rounds MAX to that count. This is very rare but you should be prepared for it.

On typical match days, I usually end up shooting 90-100 rounds per match, and on a really bad day might go through 115.

"Praise be to our prophet, John Moses Browning, who hath bestowed upon us the new testament of shooting. Delivered unto us, his disciples, on 29 March 1911 A.D."
