    First, talk to the person answering the phone, blah blah about the bills...be nice!
    Seocnd, call back, ask for the constituent advocate, if u get through, same thing about the bills...blah blah blah, be nice!

    "yeah ya know we didn't get any opposition, no emails, phone calls or letters. Maybe the Colorado people are finally getting sme common sense" says hickenoooper.

    A friend/acquaintance that works at the capitol says by far the best way to make any kind of impression on any rep is to just stop by their office. If the assembly is in session they will likely be there. The second best way is to call. Yes all calls and emails go through aides, some will get deleted some will get forwarded. Emails and letters will be scanned over to get what the gist of the message is and what the position is and will be added to a tally of for/against. Writing a 2 page diatribe is no more effective than a 3 sentence message stating the bill number and your position. Emails from people other than constituents will get deleted, they do not have to respond to anyone that is not a direct constituent of their district and they should only be listening to their direct constituents. No matter how much you want to tell them all to F Off.. threats and rants will only get you the "delete the psycho" selection and may even end up putting a check mark in the opposite box.
