I have 4 stripped lowers that will soon be complete lowers. I plan on trying to sell them for full retard pricing the last week before laws take effect. If I do not get the price I want, I am ok with keeping the lowers These lowers were for builds that I cant build due to the current environment.

Seem to recall that being illegal (buying stripped with intent on building to complete and then selling.) Can someone verify?

May want to keep that to yourself.

Actually it is... Manufacturing without an FFL is a big big big big no no.

So if you buy a lower, build it up, shoot it for a while, are you allowed to sell the whole gun or just the lower?

It's the intent. Someone else posted up the actual regulation but it's something to the effect of making a living it out of it that is restricted.

If you Buy an AR for $1,000... Then turn around and sell it right away for $2,000... Without being an FFL... You've violated the law.

If you built an AR from parts for $1,000 and sell it for $1,500... You've violated the law.

I don't believe that. What if you suddenly determine that the AR that you just bought turns out to be defective and is a piece of crap. You want to get rid of it as soon as possible and some guy wants it for parts only. So what if you do make some big bucks on it - it would be a one time type transaction and not a regular thing of making profit........ If making some profit on an occasional firearm sale is illegal, there will be a hell of a lot of guys seriously breaking the law.

Is there a time period distinction?

Crazy, Ill keep them. Ive got 4 nieces and nephews that need one to inherit. I cant see how try to sell 4 lowers, that I can not make into complete rifles is manufacturing. I would be getting ammo or a new scope for current rifles. I guess better safe than sorry.

You are incorrect. They must prove beyond reasonable doubt that you are doing it regularly and as your main source of income. That being said, the big brother can bankrupt any of us by simply open a case that will drag for months.
